At Julio Verne Náutica we offer all internships for Spanish degrees, and we believe that practical training is the most important part of nautical training. Our motto is “Practice to enjoy”.
Therefore, we carry out navigation practices in licensed and own boats, which allow us to control the condition of the school boats and the quality of training on board.
OUR FLEET
All our boats are approved. We have the best charter fleet in the northwest of Spain, which we keep in an impeccable state of maintenance.
OUR INSTRUCTORS
We have instructors who are real nautical professionals, with a passion for their work, experience with recreational boats and a vocation to teaching.
OUR LOCATION
Galicia is the best sailing area in the entire Iberian Peninsula, and in Julio Verne Náutica we are lucky enough to be at the Monte Real Yacht Club of Baiona, in the Rías Baixas.
Catalogue of internships offered
Navigation practice
(PNB)
The exercises of this degree must have a minimum duration of 8 hours and can be performed in one day.
Radio Operator (PNB) Internships
Practical training of 4 hours in an approved simulator. Mandatory to receive PNB, PY and CY.
Safety and Navigation Practices (PER)
These internships last 16 hours and are usually completed in 2 days.
Practical training to extend
of Attributions (PER)
Practices with a duration of 24 hours, without touching the port, to be able to carry boats of up to 24 meters in length.
Navigation practice
(PY)
Cross-country practices with a minimum duration of 48 hours without contact with the port.
Navigation Practices (CY)
Cross-country practices with a minimum duration of 48 hours without contact with the port.
Short-range radio operator course
Course of 4 hours of theoretical training and 8 hours of practical training in an approved simulator.
Qualification practice
sailing
These internships last 16 hours and are done in 2 days. They are carried out only once and apply to the titles PNB, PER, PY and CY.
